Thousands of people reported feeling the ground shake around 1:30am on Sunday morning, leading to premature speculation that Grenada was experiencing a typical earthquake. However MNN can exclusively reveal that Mr. Joel ‘Biggest’ Simms of Corinth, St. David tumbled out of his bed and fell to the floor, with extreme impact.
Firemen have since begun attempting to retrieve Mr. Simms from the 30ft crater where his house once stood.
Our intrepid reporter, Shirley Biskett, informs us that Mr. Simms suffered the unfortunate accident while overreaching for a fourth serving of Oil Down that his wife had prepared for the recent Independence Day celebrations.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Simms are believed to be in good health.
